Full story below of the project:

VFW Post 1581 completed working with an Eagle Scout from Boy Scout Troop 408 for an Eagle Scout project. There is one project with two parts. The project part (A) is placing a 25’ flag pole, American and POW/MIA flag, landscaping, lighting, at New Visions / MOHM’s Place, which is a Homeless Veteran‘s shelter.

They currently do not have a flag capability. The project part (B) Provide cleaning kits in a bucket for all 60 Veteran Residents in the Homeless facility. The Boy Scout Eagle candidate has researched this need identification with the Veterans in the homeless shelter.

This Boy Scout Troop 408, helps our VFW post 1581, with our Buddy Poppy events. We have been working with Troop 408 for several years and have a very good relationship with them and troop leaders. The Eagle Scout’s project candidate is an exceptional individual in the 8th grade and his mother is a single parent.
